Based on the incredible harmonic saturation found in a modern analog Modular Channel unit. “Distinct!” packs all of those rich harmonic characteristics into an easy to use plugin.
Create subtle saturation to warm up drums, vocals and mix bus, or drive this plugin into oblivion to create crazy fuzz bass tones, distorted vocal fx and insane synth sounds!

MODE BUTTONS

The mode buttons control the type of saturation/distortion that the plugin will produce. ODD will generate third-order harmonics.

Giving you an edgy/gritty sounding distortion. EVEN will generate second-order harmonics. Giving you a more pleasing saturation and rich tone. DIGT is a digital soft clipper. Perfect for drums or mastering.

Use this control to have ultimate control over the saturation you're applying.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

Distort: This is your main controller. Use this knob to add in saturation and distortion based on your "mode" selection.

HF: This knob allows you to add up to 12B of presence and sheen.

LF: This knob allows you to add up to 12dB of low-end thump and thickness.

SAT: The sat knob allows you to add additional saturation to your sound. This is a nonlinear algorithm, so the values of your distort and input knobs will directly affect the sound you get from this parameter.

super smooth saturation clipping

Really smooth saturation unit that's awesome for transient control (I love the gain reduction meter!). Perfect either first in the chain or after a bit of EQ, or to round off attacks after compression. The downsampling, built-in (post) LFP, (pre) HPF, silky high boost (haven't touched the low boost yet), full gain-staging options, and option for even or odd harmonics all let me dial in just the right amount and brightness of smooth, harmonic clipping so that I can avoid as many undesirable artifacts of dynamics processing as possible. Who needs compressors and limiters? Ok, maybe I shouldn't go that far...

I love Kiive's Tape Face plugin too, and use it for the same things, but some of the flexible options on Distinct! make it a better choice sometimes.

I've struggled with other companies' saturation plugins being harsh and uncontrolled without significant processing before and after the plugin. But Distinct is much less fussy, often with better results.

Nice little helper

Like it. adds a good „grrrr“ to synths and keys. Tried it on vocals. But it has too less harmonics to get it „shiny“. Smashes drums af —> That’s nice!
