Smooth warmth.

Really smooth saturation unit that's awesome for transient control (I love the gain reduction meter!). Perfect either first in the chain or after a bit of EQ, or to round off attacks after compression. The downsampling, built-in (post) LFP, (pre) HPF, silky high boost (haven't touched the low boost yet), full gain-staging options, and option for even or odd harmonics all let me dial in just the right amount and brightness of smooth, harmonic clipping so that I can avoid as many undesirable artifacts of dynamics processing as possible. Who needs compressors and limiters? Ok, maybe I shouldn't go that far...

I love Kiive's Tape Face plugin too, and use it for the same things, but some of the flexible options on Distinct! make it a better choice sometimes.

I've struggled with other companies' saturation plugins being harsh and uncontrolled without significant processing before and after the plugin. But Distinct is much less fussy, often with better results.

The EQ seems like a fine/standard Pultec emulation. But beyond that, right now I've got it on my master buss with no EQ (everything at 0dB)—just having it powered on does lovely things. I've heard about that magic with real Pultecs, but I don't think I've ever encountered another emulation that really captured that nuance.

We were in the middle of a Single mix and tried a Demo Version of this Plug in on the Mix Bus In Pro Tools. Took us 10 Minutes to realize, we have to have this Plug In. It is superb.

I have the Boz Digitsl Labs version and the Kiive Aidio hands down is superior.

Never heard of Kiive Audio until recently, this plugin works great on my drum bus and I will be looking at more of their stuff real soon. Thanks Kiive.

The saturation section is what sold me on this plugin. Plus having compression and EQ is just a bonus! Great sounding plugin!

I'm beginning to realize Kiive is not some ordinary run of the mill plugin company with a bunch of marketing scheme. I must say the plugins I tried and own by Kiive, I do use most of the time with great results. Some I like but can't afford. Thanks guys keep up the good work. I'm loving the S-Quick Strip especially for fast no time for bs processing on all of my tracks.
